Itinerary Details

• Day 1: Arrival in Colombo - Transfer to Kandy (Enroute Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage)

  Upon arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be welcomed by a tour representative of Footloose Holidays. He will transfer you to Kandy. En route, visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is home to all the rescued elephants that are either injured or abandoned. After this, continue your journey to Kandy. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Later, visit Kandy Lake. Admire the beauty and view of the lake. Click some good photos for memories, and enjoy a Kandyan Dance Show. Get driven back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Day 2: Kandy Sightseeing Tour

  Enjoy a traditional breakfast at the hotel and get ready to embark on the city sightseeing tour. Explore Kandy and visit the Market Crafts Centre, where you can purchase handmade items and souvenirs. Visit the Gem Museum and stroll through the Botanical Gardens to witness the diverse flora and fauna and the spice garden. Later, visit the Orchid House, where you will see different shades of orchids, and visit the Kandy Temple that houses the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 3: Transfer to Nuwara Eliya

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will transfer you to Nuwara Eliya. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and enjoy the Nuwara Eliya City tour. Visit Seetha Eliya, a popular Ramayana site in Sri Lanka. Then, visit Hakgala Gardens, a famous botanical garden. Apart from this, you will explore Victoria Park, Ramboda Falls, and Hanuman Temple. You will be driven back to the hotel by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Day 4: Transfer to Bentota

  After breakfast, check out of the hotel. The Footloose Holidays tour representative will drive you to Bentota. En route, stop at Edinburg Viewpoint to witness the majestic views of mist-covered hills. Visit Kithulgala. If you wish, you can enjoy rafting on the Kelani River (at extra cost). Continue your journey to Bentota. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Spend your day at leisure, or you can visit Cinnamon Island. Overnight stay in Bentota.

• Day 5: Visit to Madu River & Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery

  Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and get ready to embark on a sightseeing city tour of Bentota. Visit the Mady River, where you can enjoy a boat safari. Cherish this romantic moment with your spouse and admire the beauty of the surroundings. After this, get driven to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to witness endangered sea turtles. Return to the hotel by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Day 6: Excursion to Mirissa & Galle

  Today, you will be exploring Sri Lanka’s two famous cities—Mirissa and Galle. Galle is a historic town, known for its forts. Mirissa is a beach town, a famous holiday spot in Sri Lanka. Begin your day tour with a visit to the Dutch Reformed Church. Then, explore the Dutch Fort and Lighthouse. Visit the Maritime Museum in Galle. Then drive to Mirissa, where you will have a stroll around the coastline. Get driven back to the hotel in Bentota for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Day 7: Transfer to Colombo

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will drive you to Colombo. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and get ready to explore the city of Colombo. Begin with Gale Face Green, an oceanfront park in Colombo. Then, visit Gangaramya Temple, revered for its religious artefacts. Explore the Colombo Fort. Then walk on the Suspension Bridge, offering a stunning view of Colombo’s waterways and Floating Market. Return to the hotel for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

• Day 8: Colombo Departure

  Enjoy your leisurely breakfast at the hotel and check out. The Footloose Holidays tour representative will transfer you to the airport to board your flight back home. The tour ends!
