Kailash Mansarovar Yatra By Helicopter Via Kathmandu

Itinerary Details

• Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu

  Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be greeted and welcomed by Footloose Holiday’s tour representative. He will then transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Check into the hotel and relax for the day. You can enjoy doing the activities of your interests or exploring the market near the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

• Day 2: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj

  Early morning, visit the Pashupatinath Temple and Guhyeshwari Temple in Kathmandu. These two are the main attractions and famous pilgrimage destinations in Nepal. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out. Our tour representative will drop you off at the airport to board your flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed again by our tour representative, who will escort you to the hotel. Check in and relax. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.

• Day 3: Nepalgunj - Simikot

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our representative will drop you off at the airport to board your flight to Simikot today. On arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel and relax. Later, visit the Shiva Mandir and get acclimatized to the high altitude. Spend the day at leisure. Enjoy your dinner in the hotel and stay overnight.

• Day 4: Simikot - Hilsa by Helicopter and Drive to Purang

  Today, you will board your helicopter from Simikot to Hilsa. The journey will take around 30 minutes. At Hilsa, our tour guide will be waiting for you with a vehicle. Upon arrival, he will receive you and drive you to Purang. Check into the guest house/hotel, the rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight in Purang

• Day 5: Purang - Mansarovar 4558 M (Approx 90 Kms / 3 Hrs Drive)

  Have your breakfast and drive to the holy Mansarovar Lake. You will have to take local transport for this. Get the first sight of the holy Kailash Parbat and Mansarovar Lake. The emerald lake is the highest, and it surrounds Mt. Kailash and Mt Gurla Mandhata, and Lake Rakashasi. You will stay in the camp at Mansarovar.

• Day 6: Mansarovar - Darchen

  After having your breakfast, leave for Darchen. It is a small town at the foot of Mount Kailash. Check in at the guest house or a lodge. Spend the day at leisure or just relax. Overnight stay in Darchen.

• Day 7: Darchen - Dirapuk

  Have your breakfast and drive to Yam Dwar. From there, you will start your trek to Dirapuk. The trek can take approximately 5-6 hours, depending on the trekker’s pace. This is your first day of the Kailash Parikrama (Kora). You will walk through the beautiful rocky cliffs, waterfalls, and clear skies. You will complete the 12 km trail to reach Dirapuk. It is a monastery and a key stop during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Overnight stay in Dirapuk.

• Day 8: Dehra Phuk - Zutul Phuk

  This is the hardest but also the holiest day of your pilgrimage tour. After breakfast, you will go from Dirapuk to Zutul Puk via the Dolma-La Pass. After 3km of the trek, before reaching the Dolma-La pass, there is a steep hill. The distance while descending from Dolma-La Pass is also the same, like 3 km. While descending, you will see the sacred Gauri Kund on your right. After 2-3 hours, you will reach Phedi. Take rest for a few hours, then continue your trek to Zutul Puk, known as the “Cave of Miracles”. Overnight in Zutul Puk.

• Day 9: Zutul Puk - Purang/Hilsa

  Today, you will cover a short trek of approx. 2 hrs and then drive to Purang or Hilsa. Depending on the weather conditions, you will be staying either in Purang or Hilsa. Check into the guest house/hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

• Day 10: Hilsa / Purang - Simikot - Nepalgunj

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will drive you to the Hilsa or Purang airport to board your flight to Simikot. Then you will board your flight for Nepalgunj from Simikot. Upon arrival, the tour representative will transfer you to the hotel. Check in and relax. Spend the evening at leisure or explore the town on your own.

• Day 11: Nepalgunj - Kathmandu (Departure)

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. The Footloose Holidays’ tour representative will drive you to the airport to board your flight to Kathmandu for your onward destination. Tour Ends!
