Itinerary Details

• Day 1: Lucknow - Nepalgunj (210 Kms)

  Upon arrival at the Lucknow Airport or Railway Station, a tour representative from Footloose Holidays will welcome you and drive you straight to Nepalgunj. Enjoy the scenic drive for approximately 4-5 hours. After reaching, check into the pre-booked hotel. You will be briefed about the Yatra in the evening by the trip coordinator. Enjoy your dinner in the hotel and stay overnight.

• Day 2: Nepalgunj - Simikot (Flight)

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our representative will drop you off at the airport to board your flight to Simikot. Since there are no direct routes, one has to fly to reach Simikot from Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Simikot, you will be welcomed and transferred to the pre-booked hotel by our tour representative. Check into the hotel and relax. Later, visit the Shiva Mandir (on foot) and get acclimatized to the high altitude. Explore the nearby areas on your own and click pictures. Return to the hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the hotel.

• Day 3: Simikot - Hilsa by Helicopter - Drive to Purang

  Have your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Our representative will drive you to the Simikot Helipad, where you will board your helicopter to Hilsa. After 30 minutes, you will arrive at Hilsa, where our trained driver with a vehicle will receive you. He will take you straight to Purang. Check into the hotel and spend your evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Purang.

• Day 4: Purang - Mansarovar 4558 M (Approx 90 Kms /3 Hrs Drive)

  Have your breakfast, leave for the darshan of holy Mansarovar Lake. The Mansarovar Lake is situated at an altitude of 4558 metres. It is the highest lake and it surrounds the holy Mount Kailash, Mount Gurla Mandhata, and Lake Rakshastal. Overnight stay in Mansarovar in a camp.

• Day 5: Mansarovar - Darchen (4,600 M)

  Have a leisurely breakfast and leave for Darchen, a small village located at the foot of Mount Kailash. Our representative will drive you to Darchen. A decent lodging will be arranged here for you. Rest for the day or spend at leisure.

• Day 6: Darchen - Dirapuk (12 Km / 6-7 Hours Trek)

  After breakfast, pack your bags and leave for Yam Dwar. From there, you will start your trek to Dirapuk. The trek can take approximately 5-6 hours, depending on the trekker’s pace. This is your first day of the Kailash Parikrama. You will walk through the beautiful rocky cliffs, waterfalls, and clear skies. You will complete the 12 km trail to reach Dirapuk. It is a monastery and a key stop during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Overnight stay in Dirapuk.

• Day 7: Dirapuk - Zutul Puk (4790M)- (20 Km / 10 - 11 Hours Trek)

  This is the hardest but also the holiest day of your pilgrimage tour. After breakfast, you will go from Dirapuk to Zutul Puk via the Dolma-La Pass. After 3km of the trek, before reaching the Dolma-La pass, there is a steep hill. The distance while descending from Dolma-La Pass is also the same, like 3 km. While descending, you will see the sacred Gauri Kund on your right. After 2-3 hours, you will reach Phedi. Take rest for a few hours, then continue your trek to Zutul Puk, known as the “Cave of Miracles”, and overnight in Zutul Puk.

• Day 8: Zutul Puk - Purang or Hilsa (6 Km Trek)

  Today, you will trek a short distance for approx. 2 hrs. Our representative will be waiting there with a vehicle to receive you. He will drive you back to Hilsa or Purang. You will stay overnight either in Hilsa or Purang, depending on the weather conditions.

• Day 9: Hilsa / Purang - Simikot - Nepalgunj

  Today, after your breakfast, you will leave for Simikot. Our tour representative will drop you off at the Hilsa or Purang airport to board your flight to Simikot. On arrival in Simikot, you will take another flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, our representative will escort you to the pre-booked hotel. Check into the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in the hotel.

• Day 10: Nepalgunj - Lucknow Drop (190 km/ 4 Hrs)

  Have a leisurely breakfast and check out of the hotel. The Footloose Holidays’ tour representative will drive you to Lucknow. You will be dropped off at the Lucknow Airport or Railway Station, as per your further travel schedules for your onward destination. Tour Ends!
