Itinerary Details

• Day 1: Guwahati - Kaziranga

  Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, the Footloose Holidays tour representative will greet and welcome you. He will transfer you to Kaziranga. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Spend the day at leisure, enjoying the hotel amenities. If you wish, you can explore the areas on your own. Enjoy the serenity of the surroundings and appreciate its beauty. Return to the hotel by evening to have your dinner and a relaxing night. Overnight stay in Kaziranga.

• Day 2: Kaziranga

  Early morning, proceed for an elephant safari in the Kaziranga National Park. The park is spread over 430 square kilometres and is home to more than 2200 one-horned rhinoceros and other animals. You will spot rhinos, tigers, wild buffalo, deer, elephants, pythons, and many bird species. You will be driven back to the hotel for breakfast and refreshments. After this, take another round of wildlife safari by jeep in the park. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

• Day 3: Kaziranga - Shillong

  Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and check out. Our tour representative will transfer you to Shillong. Upon arrival, he will assist you with the check-in process. Check in and relax. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore the local market to buy souvenirs. Take a stroll around the lanes of the hill station and appreciate its beauty. Click on some beautiful photos for memory and return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay in Shillong.

• Day 4: Shillong - Cherrapunji - Shillong

  Have your breakfast and proceed to Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, which is known as the wettest place on earth. You will explore the main attractions, like Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsamai Cave, Don Bosco Shrine, Wah Kaba Falls, Kynrem Falls, Arwah Cave, and other caves. After the excursion, you will be driven back to Shillong. En route, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak, if time permits. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and a well-deserved rest. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shillong.

• Day 5: Shillong - Mawlynnong - Shillong

  On the fifth day of your Kaziranga Meghalaya Wildlife trip, you will explore Mawlynnong. Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel and proceed on an excursion to Mawlynnong. It is renowned as the cleanest village in Asia, which is a must-visit during your Assam Meghalaya tour. Visit Jingmaham Living Root Bridge (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Mawlynnong Village, and waterfalls. After this, visit Dawki. A small border town in the Jaintia Hills. Later, you will be driven back to Shillong for an overnight stay at the hotel.

• Day 6: Shillong - Guwahati

  Post breakfast, check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will drive you to Guwahati. En route, visit Umiam Lake. Upon arrival in Guwahati, check into the hotel and relax. Later, visit the revered Maa Kamakhya Temple and Kalakshetra. you will check in at the hotel. After freshening up, proceed to visit Kamakhya Temple and Kalakshetra. If you wish, you can even enjoy a cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• Day 7: Departure from Guwahati

  After having a delicious breakfast, check out of the hotel. The Footloose Holidays tour representative will transfer you to the Guwahati Airport to board your flight for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
