Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Nepal)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Footloose Holidays will greet you and assist with the transfer to your pre-booked hotel. After check-in, take some time to freshen up and relax, allowing you to recover from your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short walk around the local market or enjoy the hotel’s facilities. In the evening, a welcome dinner featuring traditional Nepalese cuisine will be arranged. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Thereafter, set out for a full-day guided tour of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Explore Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks, all of which hold UNESCO World Heritage recognition.
Visit the Pashupati Nath Temple. Situated along the banks of the Bagmati River, the Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the most sacred Hindu Temple in Nepal. Witness the temple’s stunning pagoda-style architecture and learn about Hindu rituals performed here daily.
Later, proceed to visit the Boudhanath Stupa. Surrounded by prayer wheels and monasteries, it is one of the largest stupas in the world. Pilgrims circle the stupa, chanting mantras, which create a serene spiritual atmosphere. Your next destination is Swayambhunath Temple, also called Monkey Temple. It’s a striking hilltop stupa with white domes and golden spires. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of Kathmandu Valley. The place is called Monkey Temple because it is home to playful monkeys.
Thereafter, proceed to visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic square showcasing old palaces, shrines, and courtyards. Visit the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (Residence of the Living Goddess), and other intricately carved temples.
In the evening, return to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Paro (Bhutan) by Flight - Drive to Thimphu
After an early breakfast, check out of the hotel in Kathmandu (Nepal). A representative from Footloose Holidays will transfer you to the airport for a short but breathtaking flight to Paro in Bhutan. The flight is one of the most scenic in the world and offers clear views of the majestic Himalayan peaks. You will see the fantastic views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Bhutan’s own sacred mountain, Jomolhari.
Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, meet our representative and proceed on a scenic drive to Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan. En route, admire rolling hills, terraced fields, and pristine rivers. The drive takes about 1.5–2 hours.
Reach Thimphu and check into your pre-booked hotel. Soon after, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour in Thimphu. After checking into your hotel in Thimphu, enjoy an afternoon tour.
First, visit the Buddha Dordenma Statue (Bhutan Point). It’s a massive golden statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. It sits atop a hill and overlooks the beautiful Thimphu Valley. Then, proceed to visit the National Memorial Chorten. Built in memory of Bhutan’s third king, it is a popular place of worship for locals. Thereafter, visit the Tashichho Dzong. It’s an impressive fortress-monastery in Bhutan. It houses the government offices and the central monastic body. See its whitewashed walls and golden spires, which are beautifully illuminated at night.
Later, enjoy a welcome dinner with a Bhutanese cultural dance show, featuring traditional music, colorful costumes, and folk performances. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu - Paro
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel in Thimphu. Later, continue sightseeing in Thimphu before departing for Paro. Visit the Bhutan Post Office Headquarters. It’s known for its unique stamp collection. You can even create a personalized stamp with your photo on it. Then, visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. It is also called the School of Arts and Crafts. Here, students learn Bhutan’s thirteen traditional arts, including painting, wood carving, and embroidery. Thereafter, visit the Simply Bhutan Museum. It’s an interactive museum designed like a Bhutanese village. Explore the museum and get insight into local culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
In the afternoon, drive back to Paro and check into your pre-booked hotel. Take a short rest and then set out to explore Paro. Visit the Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong). Explore the complex of the fortress-monastery known for its massive walls and stunning architecture. The annual Paro Tsechu festival is held here. Later, visit the National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong). It was once a watchtower. But now, it has become a rich museum. Explore a rich collection of thangkas, weapons, costumes, and ancient artifacts that narrate Bhutan’s history. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Paro Tour
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, embark on one of Bhutan’s most memorable journeys. It’s the hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang). The trek will take around 4-5 hours round-trip, with steep but rewarding paths. The monastery clings dramatically to a cliffside, about 900 meters above the valley floor. According to legend, Guru Padmasambhava flew here on the back of a tigress and meditated. This is what makes it one of Bhutan’s most sacred pilgrimage sites. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the monastery.
Thereafter, descend and visit the Kyichu Lhakhang. It’s one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in the 7th century. It is believed to pin down a demoness who was obstructing the spread of Buddhism. Enjoy the serene setting at the temple’s peaceful courtyard and prayer wheels. Return to your accommodation in Paro on time. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 6: Departure from Paro
