Day 1 Arrival at Cochin
As you arrive at Cochin Airport, you will be greeted and warmly welcomed by the Footloose representative, and from here onwards, begins your journey of alluring Western Ghats, located amidst the lush-green tea plantations defining the slopes and slants of this exotic destination called Munnar. Munnar’s beauty is unmatched as it seems nature has designed each of its winding path and gushing springs and streams, where serenity and peace play a pivotal role enriching and rejuvenating the spirits. No wonder, it is one of the most desired tourists destinations of India with plethora of activities along with the fragrant, picturesque locations with a breathtaking view.
As you are heading for Munnar, you have the opportunity to enjoy the cascading beauty of Cheyyappara and Valara waterfalls. En route, you will enliven your senses as you drive through Cardamoms and Tea plantations and can even visit the Spice Garden (at own cost by coordinating with driver). Hence your trip may extend as per your wish till check in at the hotel. After checking-in, you need to revive your energies. It is advisable to take a short rest and then visit Blossom Park where nature plays its magic as the park set in a large expanse of land, exhibits its unique viewpoints with floral beds and from there, you can visit Pothenmedu View point which will satiate wanderlust in any traveller when he realises that nothing can be as stupendous as the panoramic view that you get from here. Another major attraction can be the Tea museum (will be closed on all Mondays). Stroll in the evening to the town bazaar to enjoy the fresh air and take home a few keepsakes or authentic aromatic Kerala spices. Enjoy your goodnight sleep and feel healed in this divine place.

Day 2 Munnar tour continues
After a satiating breakfast, it is time to proceed for sightseeing, which includes Photo Point as the name suggests a perfect place to shoot with your camera. To make your trip more interesting, take a look at this enchanting tree called Honey tree because of the beehives hanging from the branches of this special tree which lies on the way to Mattupetty Dam, a dam to conserve the perennially available water (boating at own cost, coordinate with driver), Echo point which make your presence felt as you hear your voice resonate. Since there is no dearth of natural beauty around Munnar, Shooting point, Kundala Lake and the Eravikulam National Park (will be closed in February and March every year) are a few other fascinating tourists’ attractions. Culminate your stay with an enjoyable evening in the lap of nature along with delicious dinner and goodnight sleep at the hotel to prepare you for another marvellous experience.

Day 3 Munnar – Thekkady (91 kms)
Post a hearty Breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to one of the most amazing hill stations and check out from the hotel to enjoy your drive to Thekkady, the location of Periyar wildlife Sanctuary set amidst the dense evergreen forests and Savanna grasslands, a perfect holiday getaway. Check in at the hotel and take a breath full of fresh air in this land of wild elephants. Take rest for a while and after an early lunch, proceed for sightseeing. The splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River stirs romance in the tourist’s heart as he takes a boat ride in this pristine lake. You can also visit cardamom, pepper, tea & coffee plantations which make this air rich with the aromas of southern spices. When you are in Kerala, it adds to your enriching experience to enjoy one of the major classical dance forms of India, the famous Kathakali dance, known for its distinguished and colourful make-up, costumes and facemasks or watch Kalaripayattu Show-ancient form of martial art or go for an Elephant Ride on this majestic animal. Come back at the dusk time when the melodious chirping of the birds send out a signal that it is time to retire for the night, so as to enjoy the new day with zeal and enthusiasm.

Day 4 Thekkady – Alleppey (135 kms)
Enjoy your morning meal at Thekkady as soon you will proceed to Alleppey, a city on the Laccadive Sea to enjoy the Houseboat cruise along the network of tranquil canals and lagoons, all forming the part of Kerala backwaters.
Begin this exciting, luxurious and relaxed odyssey as these Houseboats are the modern forms of kettuvallams. As you enjoy your lunch in the houseboat, it will cruise you through the narrow canals of the Vembanad Lake, enthralling you with the mesmerising effect caused by the picturesque view of the traditional villages and coconut groves. Nothing comes anywhere near this surreal experience. The houseboat is put to rest on the lake for the night and it is time to enjoy your delicious dinner, sitting at the deck where serenity and peace do not leave your side as you have many companions this night to share your joy in the form of this star-lit sky, sound of water lapping and the breeze that comes from the tall coconut trees. This is one night that you don’t want a wink of sleep as you may miss out on some unforgettable moments of this beautiful stay.

Day 5 Alleppey – Cochin (50 kms)
Morning breakfast awaits you at the houseboat and soon it is time to check out and be driven to Cochin, an ancient port city which has rich history to boast of. After checking- in at the hotel, you may freshen up with a cup of filter coffee, before you visit a few attractions of Cochin. Beginning with Dutch Palace which enchants the tourists with Kerala murals, you can also visit Jewish Synagogue which is also called Paradesi Synagogue, the oldest and active synagogue. If you have never witnessed Chinese fishing nets, kochi gives you ample opportunity to see these beautifully constructed nets., St. Franchise church and Marine Drive too must not be missed before you call it a day and return to your hotel for the good night sleep.

Day 6 Departure from Cochin
After your sumptuous Breakfast, you will check- out from the hotel to bid adieu to God’s Own Country and it will be with a longing to visit again. You will depart to Cochin Airport for onward journey, along with many precious and most cherished memories.
