Diwali in Rajasthan Tour Package
Diwali is a five-day festival, the height of which is celebrated on the third day coinciding with the darkest night of the lunar month. During the festival, Hindus, Jains and Sikhs illuminate their homes, temples and work spaces with diyas, candles, firecrackers and lanterns.
Day 1 Jaipur Arrival
As you arrive at Jaipur Airport in the morning, you will find Footloose Holidays representative waiting to welcome you and to escort you to the hotel. Check-in at the pre-booked hotel, freshen up and relax for a while and then proceed for the sightseeing of Pink City, the capital of the desert state of Rajasthan. Begin with Hawa Mahal, a monument that is known for its unique architecture and holds a historical significance. Situated close by is City Palace, the palace that still serves as home to the royal family and has so many precious treasures to showcase for the tourists, giving them insight into the lives of these Rajput rulers. The architecture is an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art which makes it more enticing.
Day 2 Jaipur Diwali Celebration
Don’t miss out this 18th century Hindu Temple called Govind Devji Temple within the premises of city palace. Another interesting destination to visit is Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory comprising of architectural structures of 19 astronomical instruments, built to stimulate interest in astronomy. As the famous bazaars of Jaipur, Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar catering for jewellery and textiles, mojris, bags and traditional attires of Rajasthan respectively are within the vicinity of these monuments; it calls for a short visit which is going to be extremely exciting. Also enjoy something from the Rajasthani cuisine while shopping.
In the evening, get ready with Indian traditional clothes for Diwali celebrations. Enjoy the festival of lights with crackers & diya lighting.
Finally, it is time to come back to the hotel for the overnight after such an eventful day.
Day 3 Jaipur - Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar after your breakfast. On arrival, check-in at hotel. After freshen-up visit Rang Ji Temple, Brahma Temple & Holy Pushkar Lake. Overnight stay will be at hotel in Pushkar. Visit the markets & explore the local items for shopping.
Day 4 Pushkar - Udaipur
Subsequent to hearty breakfast, drive to Udaipur – The City of Lakes. En-route visit Pushkar, the holy city of Rajasthan. On arrival at Udaipur, check-into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 Udaipur
After a hearty breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit City Palace (It is considered the largest royal complex in Rajasthan and is replete with history) and Crystal Gallery (The world’s single largest private collection of crystal under one roof),enjoy the view of Lake Pichola, Saheliyo Ki Bari (Courtyard of the Maidens, It is a major garden and a popular tourist space in Udaipur). Back to hotel for overnight stay.
