First, head towards Kufri, a small town, 20km ahead of Shimla known for its Himalayan National Park which provides a panoramic view of the surroundings. You can also enjoy Pony and Yak Ride here. Post lunch, begin with sightseeing of various places in and around Shimla. Feel awe-struck at the architectural beauty of these quaint structures like mosques (1830), Vice Regal Lodge (1885) or Christ Church (1844). Itinerary Details

  • Day 1: Delhi to Shimla

    Upon arrival in Delhi, a representative from Footloose Holidays will greet you and assist with your transfer to Shimla. The drive takes you through the scenic plains of northern India before the landscape changes into lush hills and pine forests. En route, enjoy short breaks to stretch and take in the natural beauty. Once you arrive in Shimla, check in to your hotel and rest for a while. Later in the evening, you may take a relaxed stroll along Mall Road, visit local shops, or enjoy a quiet dinner in the cool mountain air. Overnight stay at the hotel in Shimla.

  • Day 2: Sightseeing in Shimla

    After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Shimla. Begin with the Shimla Mosque (built in 1830), followed by the grand Vice Regal Lodge, which once served as the summer residence of British Viceroys. Visit the Christ Church on the Ridge, known for its Gothic architecture and stained-glass windows. Continue to the Gaiety Theatre, an elegant colonial-era structure, and then move on to Scandal Point, a lively spot filled with stories from the British era. End the day with a visit to the Kali Bari Temple, dedicated to Goddess Shyamala. In the evening, explore Mall Road, the heart of Shimla’s social life, filled with cafés, bakeries, and handicraft shops. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 3: Excursion to Kufri and Chail

    After breakfast, drive to Kufri, a small yet picturesque hill station located a short distance from Shimla. Visit the Himalayan National Park to see native wildlife and enjoy pony or yak rides up to the scenic viewpoints. From here, the endless Himalayan range unfolds before you in all its glory. Later, continue your journey to Chail, another serene retreat surrounded by deodar forests. Stop for lunch at the Chail Palace Hotel, once the summer residence of the Maharaja of Patiala. Visit the highest cricket ground in the world, perched at an altitude of 2,444 meters, before returning to Shimla. Spend the evening at leisure and stay overnight at your hotel.

  • Day 4: Shimla to Delhi

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your drive back to Delhi. Enjoy the changing scenery as you descend from the misty hills into the plains. On arrival, our representative will assist with your drop-off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
