You are taken to Kolkata airport to catch the Bagdogra flight. After reaching Bagdogra you take a road route to Darjeeling. Stay overnight in Darjeeling.

Early in the Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (the world’s 3rd highest peak standing at 28,208 ft.). Visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back to the hotel. Take your breakfast, and make a move towards the fine range of attractions in the area. The trip covers Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, P.N. Zoological Park, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre, Rope-way and Japanese Temple and Tea Garden.

Take a passage through the hills, paddy fields and scenic village landscapes as you head towards the beautiful capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok. The town delivers a spectacular view of the gigantic Kanchenjunga Range. As you arrive, check-in the hotel and enjoy your time at the place as you please.

Time to take a drive to Tsomgo Lake located at the Nathu La Highway, which is attributed as the original trade route to Lhasa. This holy lake is completely frozen in winter and you get astonishing views of the Kangchendzonga Range from the adjoining ridge. Have a leisurely walk around the lake before you return to Gangtok to further explore the places like Research Institute of Tibetology, Enchey Monastery, Tsuklakhang, and Royal Chapel.

Have your breakfast and drive to Kalimpong, a remote hill station set in the wood bedded mountains of the Kalimpong vicinity. Kalimpong held a strategic position of historical importance and acted as a main trade route to the old three ‘Closed Lands’ of Tibet, Bhutan and Nepal. As you visit Kalimpong, you get to see a few interesting monasteries in the town, the Ringkinpong Monastery that renders mesmerizing scenic views, the Thongsa Gompa Bhutanese Monastery which was built way back in 1692, and Doctor Graham’s Homes which was initiated in 1900 when he admitted six needy children into his custodian care.

You are driven to the overland entrance to Bhutan to reach Phuentsholing, which is a fast developing town occupying the bases of the Himalayan foothills. After this you take your route to Jaigaon. This is the India border settlement and you have to go through the immigration procedures of both India and Bhutan. As you come back to Phuentsholing you are transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.

It’s time to leave for Thimphu. This is going to be a drive that will introduce you to the country and you would get to see the diverse life, people, and vegetation as you drive through the settlements. While passing the mountains you will see dense tropical teak and bamboo forest (typical characteristic features of these lower altitude regions), before you ascend higher towards Thimphu and its Spartan alpine spread.

Your 9th day of the tour begins with strolling around the busy Thimphu market which attracts people from all over the region. Later in the day get back to the town and start the sightseeing journey at the National Memorial Chorten. After having your lunch make a quick visit to the National Institute of Traditional Medicine which is known for researching traditional medicines for the locals. Continue to the Trashi Chhoe Dzong next before you get back and relax at your hotel room.

Get ready to leave for Punakha. After a 3 hours of drive you arrive the destination. The first place to visit is the amazing point where the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu Rivers meet. Here you can explore the Punakha Dzong. Built in 1638 AD, the Dzong has had a number of additions to its original structure. Here you also get to see various chapels and temples within its walls.

The 11th day is set for a morning drive to Paro. Take a few hours of rest in your hotel room as you reach there. Later visit Drukgyel Dzong. Built in 1649, Drukgyel Dzong was brought into existence to reaffirm Bhutanese control over the important land route into Tibet and also to commemorate the defeat of Tibetan invaders in battle.

Its your time to explore the Paro Valley. Here you need to reach the foot of the elevation that leads to the famous Taktsang Monastery. Bhutan’s major pilgrimage since 1646, Taktsang – or ‘Tiger’s Nest’ – is perched at a cliff’s edge placed 900 meters above the valley floor.

Time to fly to Kathmandu. You get a connecting flight and as you reach the destination you are assisted by the guide and helped with the transfer to the hotel. Here you get the evening time to utilize for a walk around the Durbar Square area.

As you have your breakfast, leave for the guided tour and enjoy the time at Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of the most valued Buddhist sites in Nepal which is also listed as a World Heritage Site. Also visit Patan Durbar Square, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mélange of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. The former royal palace building is the epitome of Patan’s religious and social life. It also features a museum which houses a fine collection of bronze statues and religious objects.

In time transfer to Kathmandu airport to get back to Delhi and onward destination.
